Beau is owned & shown by Chris Lazdans, and
wonderfully groomed by his mum Liz.
Beau came from Holly's only
litter and is brother to Reece & Frey. He was such a nice
puppy, that when no show homes came forward, I was going to keep him
and show him myself. Then Chris rang to tell me that their old
dog Cappy had passed away, and that they were thinking about getting
another Kees. I told him I had a puppy, but that he should think
about it a while. If memory serves me correctly, they were over
picking up this little puppy within a week!
Beau is an exceptionally nice dog,
with a very novice (nervous?) handler. He always wins on his own
merits, never on the abilities of his handler! Shown sparringly,
Beau has some nice wins under his belt.
Beau is the dog we all lament over - he is so nice and does not
win as much as he should. But its good to know that he does win
on his
merits - that is what dog shows should be about!
Beau's most recent win, and by far
his best, was over Easter. At the KCNSW Championship Show, Beau
won 1st place in Australian Bred Dog class, then went on to win the Dog
CC (which gave him his title) and then Runner Up to Best in Show!
We were all so excited for him, it was a great way to finish off a
great dog!
