Mitchell was one of those dogs....he was stunning. I mean it, he was just devine. As a baby puppy judges just seemed to melt at his sight. And as he grew up, that continued. He was such a nice dog. One problem - he hated showing. Hated it. ![]() In the end, when he was about 10
or 11 months old, I decided that if he still hated it by the time he
was a Champion, and if the right home came along, I would retire him
early. That decision still causes pain to this day. Just
because he was such a nice boy.
Some of his wins include Baby Puppy in Show at KCV under Jean Sharp-Bale (UK), Sydney Royal Puppy of Breed & Non Sporting Puppy of the Day, he even had Best in Group wins to his name. Then one day we sold
one of Jessie's babies to a lovely couple. Without warning this
puppy got sick and died at the same time we lost Echo. They were
distraught. Mitchell had gained his title with ease, but he still
hated showing. I broke my heart the day I sent him home with
them. It is an image that is etched in my brain forever.
And to make matters worse, when I though I would like to use Mitchell
for breeding.....I lost contact with the couple who took him.So guys if you just happen to read this....please drop me a line, I would love to hear how Mitchell is doing. Oh and Mitchell is Holly's litter brother. He had a head to die for, she looks like a Womble. Chalk and cheese, go figure :) ![]()
