Ah Nova. Nova was our stud fee puppy from Bryce's first litter. She did quite well as a puppy, even to the point of beating THE unbeatable for Best of Breed :) She won a few in Group awards, and was Best Intermediate In Show at the KCNSW Ch Show 2003.

We had one litter with her. She was the most protective mother we have ever encountered. I would have to hold her by the muzzle if I wanted to even TOUCH one of her babies. One of her babies died, and I had to banish her from the room so that I could remove it from the whelping box. And add to that the fact that she ended up hating to go to shows (ok thats a lie -she loved going, just not the actual showing part), I decided not to have another litter with her.

She was going to spend her retirement as my house dog (the only Kees I had in the house at that time too), when someone came looking for an older dog as a companion to her little girl. I had just (FINALLY) finished Nova's title. I met her family of numerous kids, and their dog, and it all fell into place, and Nova had her new forever home. She is now training in agility, and I hope to get some photos of her at training soon! I know she would LOVE agility, as she was always the athlete around here, the only one I had who would jump over 3-4 foot tall pens.
