Ch Rymiska Top Gun Tom was our very first Keeshond. He originally was only going to stay until Lucy came along, but we fell in love with him and he stayed. He was my first Class in Show winner, winning Australian Bred in Show at Cessnock & District Agricultural Society in February 1993. Early in his show career with us (and the only one he ever had - he had not been shown when he came to us at 15 months) he was attacked by a Bull Terrier outside our vets, with extensive damage to his tail. After weeks of weekly treatment, the tip of his tail finally died and fell off! There went his lovely kink :) After a long recovery, Tom went on to gain his title. At
the age of 10 Tom was desexed. He never was able to have a
litter, proving to be sterile.
Which was a real shame, as he was a lovely old fashioned style of Keeshond. Tom lived out his final years in a retirement home. |
